Ornellaia, one of the original Super Tuscans was first sold in 1985. It is a wine made in Tuscany designed to satisfy a thirst for wines made of French grapes. Ornellaia also makes Massetto, one of the most prized single-vineyard Merlots in the world--bottles fetch handsome prices. The maritime influence and high-density vine planting are some of the keys to the wine's stellar profile. Read on for more on Ornellaia!
