ABOUT WINE

Q: What condition are the wines in?
A: All our wines are purchased directly from Europe. The wines are imported from Europe and sold in its original packaging. If, for whatever reason, the wine is not in its original packaging, it will be clearly conveyed.

The character of the wine changes with age and responds directly to its environment and how it is cared for, Westgarth Wines is unable to guarantee the "drinkability" of every bottle sold. Westgarth Wines is not responsible for damage to the wines wine whilst in transit, including damage resulting from extreme temperature.

Q: Do you sell single bottles?
A: Westgarth Wines specializes in selling wine by the case. On rare occasions and/ or upon special requests, single bottles may be sold.

Q: Can you help me select wine?
A: To make your experience with Westgarth Wines enjoyable and to further assist you in your wine selection, we are happy to discuss your contemplated selections and provide photos of the wines before you complete your purchase. We are always open and honest and strive to provide our clients with the best experience. Please contact us if you have any questions about our policies regarding guarantees and drinkability.

PURCHASE

Q: How old do I have to be to purchase wine?
A: You must be 21 years of age or older to view the Westgarth Wines Website. Westgarth Wines does not sell alcohol beverages to anyone under the age of 21.

Q: Refund/Exchange/Return?
A: All sales are final. Westgarth Wines does not offer returns, refunds, and/or exchanges unless the selected wines are unavailable or are unable to be shipped pursuant to applicable laws and regulations. Where wines are unavailable or are unable to be shipped due to applicable laws and regulations, consumers will be issued a 100% refund for such wines.

Upon receipt of full and complete payment, Westgarth Wines will begin to compile your order. Your order may include wines that are in-stock or are subject to pre-arrival. Such wines that are subject to pre-arrival will be purchased from our suppliers within twenty-eight (28) days of receipt of full payment and shipped shortly thereafter.

Any and all orders which have not been fully paid for within seven (7) days of placing the order, including weekends and holidays, will be cancelled immediately.

Q: Taxes/Duties/Fees/Tariffs?
A: In addition to the base price of the wine, the buyer is also responsible for, and will be charged for any and all applicable sales/shipping taxes/duties/fees/tariffs (hereinafter “additional costs”) at the time of shipment or importation of the wines to its designated location. Buyer will be notified of, and charged any and all additional costs via e-mail at least ten (10) days prior to shipment, which shall include the date of shipment. Buyer must pay any and all additional costs at least five (5) days prior to shipment. Failure to pay the additional costs will result in the forfeiture of the purchased wine, and no refund shall be issued.

Q: Are tariffs included in the wine price?
A: No. Since tariff prices constantly change, the tariff price cannot be quoted at the time of purchase. Buyer will be notified of any and all additional costs and the shipment date via e-mail at least ten (10) days prior to shipment. Buyer must pay any and all additional costs at least five (5) days prior to the shipment date. Failure to pay the additional costs will result in the forfeiture of the purchased wine, and no refund shall be issued.

Q: When do I pay the tariff price?
A: Five (5) days prior to shipment. Failure to pay the tariff price will result in the forfeiture of the purchased wine, and no refund shall be issued.

Q: Can you hold my wine for me?
A: Yes. We can hold the wine for you in a third-party facility overseas while we wait for the tariff price to be at a rate most convenient for you. At check out, you may take advantage of the "HOLD" option which will put your wine into our storage space free of charge for the first three (3) months. After this period, we will need to arrange shipping the wine to your designated address or opening a storage account with Westgarth Wines

SHIPPING OPTIONS

Q: Where do you ship?
A: We ship to all 50 states in the USA and Puerto Rico.

Q: Can I pick-up the wine from your address?
A: No. Wines purchased through the Westgarth Wines website are delivered to an address identified by the buyer. Wines cannot be picked-up at the Westgarth Wines headquarters.

Q: How is my order shipped?
A: The wines are shipped in a specialized wine shipping box. The case is sent separately through FedEx or UPS.

Q: How long does it take to ship my order?
A: In Stock wines can shipped within a few days for between $40-$100 depending on state. For Pre-Arrival wines Westgarth Wines offers our customers two shipping opt

  1. Pre-Arrival 10-14 business days: $280 per 9L case by UPS ($380 to Puerto Rico); and
  2. Pre-Arrival 60-90 days: $50-100 per 9L.  The exact rate will be calculated at checkout. 

PLEASE NOTE: We do not recommend delivering wines in extreme temperatures, i.e. above 80F, or at/ below 32F; however, we do offer an extra protective thermal layer for an additional $20 (USD).  A pre-10.30 AM delivery time can also be arranged for an extra fee.  Please contact info@westgarthwines.com for more information on these requests.

Q: How do I track my orders?
A: Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Q: Can you write a gift message for me?
A: Yes, This service is only available in conjunction with the 10-14 business day delivery option.  Immediately after you place your order, contact Westgarth Wines at info@westgarthwines.com, and include the Order Number in the subject of your e-mail, along with your custom message in the body of your email. The message will be sent on Westgarth Wines gift card bearing the Westgarth Wines logo.

Q: Can I store my wines with you?
A: Yes, we offer storage services at our Los Angeles or overseas warehousing.  Contact us at info@westgarthwines.com for pricing options.
