(from Monts Luisants; an alouette is a lark). A mild touch of reduction pushes the fruit to the background for the present. By contrast there is an excellent sense of verve to the muscular and mineral-driven flavors that possess fine delineation on the dusty, firm and balanced finale where the supporting tannins make it clear that this is very much built-to-age; that said this is not at all rustic or austere.
