(from very old vines situated mostly in Brochon, and Trapet notes that a high percentage are more than 90 years of age; 20% whole cluster). A perfumed nose features notes of herbal tea, cool dark berries, pungent earth and discreet sauvage nuances. There is a beguiling mouth feel to the well-delineated, intense and sleekly powerful flavors that possess more evident minerality on the saline and well-balanced finish. This is really quite pretty and while it’s presently a bit youthfully austere this should dissipate with age as the tannins mellow. 89/2021+
