There is enough reduction present to warrant decanting this for 30 minutes first if you’re going to pop a bottle young. There is first-rate richness to the suave yet mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that somehow manage to retain fine delineation while coating the palate with dry extract on the powerful, built-to-age, dusty and bitter cherry-inflected if somewhat awkward finish. My sense is that this will better harmonize in time thanks to the excellent underlying material. With that said, it does not appear, at least not at this early juncture, that 2014 will be a hallmark vintage for the Jadot CSJ. 91/2029+
