(from the villages portion of La Bossière; 60% new oak). A moderately earthy and sauvagescented nose offers up additional notes of both red and dark fruit along with humus nuances. There is good energy and delineation to the middle weight flavors that are shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins on the firm and ever-so-mildly austere finale. This will need a few years of bottle age to round off the structure a bit more. 89/2021+
