(a 1.05 ha total from parcels in Echézeaux du Dessus, Poulaillères and Clos St. Denis measuring .69, .20 and .16 ha, respectively). This too is exuberantly spicy with violet, black pinot fruit and red currant aromas that are very much in keeping with the rich, palate coating and attractively well-detailed medium-bodied flavors that possess a velvety mouth feel thanks to the abundance of dry extract. This faultlessly well-balanced effort should drink reasonably well in its youth but also reward up to a decade’s worth of cellaring. 92/2018+
