(from Charmes proper). This is very ripe and it shows on the nose that displays liqueur-like aromas of plum, earth and lavender. The opulent and very lush big-bodied flavors coat the palate with dry extract that also serves to buffer the markedly firm tannic spine that shapes the explosively long and beautifully balanced finale. Note here as well that this is not one to buy unless you have the patience to cellar it for the long-term. (92-94)/2027+
