(from a small .17 ha parcel of 40+ year old vines close to Bonnes Mares). This is also quite elegant with its cool and pure nose of red berry, spice, floral and sandalwood scents. There is excellent punch and muscle to the broad-shouldered flavors that possess a seductive mid-palate mouth feel that contrasts markedly with the firm, serious and impressively persistent finish. As is always the case with a classic example of Baudes this is going to require all of a decade to arrive at its apogee. (90-92)/2024+
