(from a .75 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines). This is almost a combination of the Combottes and Chatelots with its wonderfully layered nose of kirsch, spice, tea, violet and lavender scents. There is once again fine richness to the sappy and palate coating medium weight flavors that possess both a taut muscularity and power that carries over to the impressively persistent finale where about the only nit is a hint of warmth.
