This is the first wine to display any appreciable amount of wood influence though I stress that it is subtle and does not impinge on the attractiveness of the overtly spicy, cool and pure nose of red currant, earth and soft floral elements. There is a firm mineral streak that adds a sense of lift to the beautifully well-delineated, muscular and vibrant flavors that culminate in a textured, mouth coating and impeccably well-balanced finale. This possesses simply terrific overall depth and this is textbook Bèze. (93-96)/2030+
