(from a .68 ha parcel in Perrières that was once a quarry that has now been filled with soil from elsewhere and was thus declassified by INAO). A very Meursault nose displays notes of apple, hazelnut, acacia blossom and a wisp of freshly sliced lemon. There is more volume if perhaps a bit less refinement to the seductively textured and generously proportioned flavors that culminate in a saline and lightly stony finale. This well-layered effort is really quite good, and particularly so for the stated appellation, and well-worth considering.
