Famous for exceptional grand cru wines from the Clos Vougeot vineyards, Château de la Tour is one of the most celebrated landholders in Burgundy. Owning almost 11% of Clos Vougueot’s property, it is positioned to remain being held in the high esteem it currently enjoys. It is owned by the Labet and Déchelette families, with François Labet managing the estate since 1984. The Château’s 13 acres of holdings rest in the middle and upper sections of the Clos. With its prime plots used to grow vines aged over a century, it produces Cuvée Vieilles Vignes and Cuvée Hommage Jean Morin wines, the latter in honor of Francois’s grandfather, and the chateau’s most prestigious. First built in 1890, the actual estate acts as the winery for the chateau as well as its sister domaine, Pierre Labet.
