When You Aren’t in the Mood For DRC

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the most expensive of fine wine brands currently making wine. As such it can dominate the list of “top traded wines by value”. There is a list to show what happens when DRC is not a factor to see what other Burgundy producers would be in the running. Domaine Leroy made a strong leader—four of the top ten were made by Leroy. The top slot was taken by Domaine Ponsot’s 2015 Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes. It was nearly all pinot noir but one Chardonnay made the list: a 2015 Coche Dury Meursault.
