When it comes to Cabernet, one place above all is king.

The quickest way to start a fight among wine lovers is to ask one simple question what is the best wine in the world?

And the fight will start for a couple of reasons – most obviously because wine evaluation is a subjective and personal exercise and we all have a different take on flavor, construction and general appeal.

Second, there is no real way of judging a wine that doesn't involve the use of scoring. Whatever your opinion of wine critics and wine scores, there is no question that they have made what was once a cheerfully opaque wine world a lot easier to understand for newcomers.
