The price of top-tier Burgundy is rising rapidly. A similar thing happened when the Chinese were gifting Bordeaux like no tomorrow, but they’ve moved on to Burgundy and the prices are following suit. Liv-Ex’s tracking indicates that the uptick in price is spilling over to other wine regions. If you decide to buy fine wine, be aware that you need to be prepared to spend.
