Evolution of Labels

The traditional Bordeaux label typically will have a picture of the chateau, or a crest on it. This traditional label reassures many who buy premium wine that their wine adheres to what makes a Bordeaux great. But younger audiences are looking for different labels that catch the eye or inspire. Studies have shown that labels are an important factor in many consumers’ purchasing decisions, and so there are now some Bordeaux chateaux breaking with the status quo. Whether the trend will take over remains to be seen.
