Wine-Searcher published a list of 2018’s “best” wines, determined by an aggregated critics score as determined by Wine-Searcher. It is a short but fine list of premium wines. Domaine de la Romanee-Conti is one of the 6 Burgundy Grand Crus out of the 10 wines listed. Other likely suspects include Screaming Eagle, one of two Napa examples cited, and Chateau d’Yquem and Petrus. Look here if you want to confirm why you stock your cellar with the classics, and validate why you buy fine wine. The list may be predictable but there is a reason these wines get the best scores! It might just be they are great wine.
