(from vines on the plateau, which give a more elegant wine than vines from the lower sections). There is plenty of earth and underbrush character to the red and dark berry fruit scents. I like the richness, volume and punch of the middle weight flavors that possess good concentration and only a touch of rusticity on the balanced and lingering finish. This competent effort possesses enough structure to suggest that 3 to 5 years of cellaring is in order. (86-88)/2017+
