Leflaive & Associes, the négociant label associated with Burgundy’s impressive Domaine Leflaive, owes much of its success to the genius of the late Anne-Claude Leflaive, the granddaughter of founder Joseph Leflaive. Her early and untimely death was a blow to the wine community, but her impact will most definitely live on. While also overseeing Domaine Leflaive, Anne-Claude travelled around France to wine regions, championing the biodynamic movement. She met with biodynamic growers to discover products that would align with her vision for Leflaive & Associes, and successfully set the course for his ancillary label of her beloved domaine. The wines were, and are, primarily issued from the Côte de Beaune, and most notably Auxey-Duresses, Puligny-Montrachet, and the Côte Chalonnaise (Rully 1er cru). They are all vinified under the direction of the Domaine Leflaive team of experts in cellars in Puligny-Montrachet. As such, the wines share an uncompromised level of purity, clarity, integrity and finesse.
