by Westgarth Wines October 27, 2016

Robert Parker has stepped down from Bordeaux. For decades, many who buy premium wine have looked to his scores to guide their purchases. Liv-ex took a look at the influence of Parker’s scores on price alongside Neal Martin, James Suckling and Jean Marc Quarin. Parker remained the top influencer but the others were not so far behind. Naturally, there are other factors at play regarding price. And the trust for scores has been declining, so it will be interesting to see if someone new steps into Parker’s shoes.
