Bordeaux 2006: The Ten Year Tasting

A prominent tasting of Bordeaux 2006 was recently held, with Latour taking top honors. While on the whole the vintage was not as revered as 2005, some chateaux have wines that from 2006 that rival 2005 for prices that are competitive--good news if you buy premium wine and care to invest in an excellent but undersung year. Recommendations include Leoville Barton, La Conseillant, and Figeac. Pomerol, Pauillac and Pessac-Leognan also are showing very well.
