Is The Price Of Rarity Justified?

The wine world watched as Bordeaux's prices climbed to astronomic heights then began an inevitable fall as consumbers who buy fine wine turned their attention to Burgundy. The value of Burgundy has remained high as the Liv-ex Burgundy 150 is dominated by labels from the DRC, which continue to command top dollar. This begs the question, when will these wines reach a price that is too high for the thirsty Burghounds of the world? As Champagne and Italy have surpassed Burgundy in terms of being most-traded one must wonder if the bubble will soon burst.
